Teaching Statement
     G
iven the right circumstances and instruction, every child can learn.  As a teacher, I am a facilitator of the learning
process.  It is my job and duty to find and use Best Practice methodology as it applies to each student's unique situation.
As a teacher, I orchestrate the learning process. I define the starting and ending points and the time-line, along with the
numerous and different modes of learning available.  I also provide a model of passion to follow.  I then give each student
his or her choice within certain parameters about how they are going to progress from point A to point B.  I closely monitor
each student's progress and coach them along the way.  I offer advice and encouragement and intervene when it is needed.
This practice requires that a number of procedures and routines must be in place.  I must make personal sacrifices in
preparing this journey for my students, but their success is well worth it.
