Teaching
Statement
The
ultimate goal of most educational institutions is the personal
and social development
of the students
into productive, well-adjusted members of a global society.
Globalization of
the world economies has forced
educational entities to look beyond their own boundaries to
create a more mobile, informed graduate that is
capable of competing in the world economy.
Another major change
in education is the students must learn
to appreciate and understand
cultural and religious differences.
To that end, I strongly believe students must
more then
ever develop the philosophy of life long learning and
one that challenges them daily. I further
believe
that educational units need to adopt a philosophy that the needs
of the learner and
not adminstration or
instructional staff is the key element for success. I always ask
myself
two questions before making a decision
about a process, idea or curriculum: 1) is it good
for students?
2) is it good for the community? |
