Statement
I believe that good teaching involves knowing the subject, the students, and oneself.
Teachers
are facilitators who possess the power to create conditions for students to
learn.
Being a language
teacher, I strive to help students become active learners who
do not wait
for learning to happen but
make it happen. My teaching goals are to activate
students’ previous experience and to make
connections between what they are learning
and the
real-world experience; to motivate students’
interests in the learning process; to
establish
meaningful purposes for students to engage in
learning. As a result, students
develop their confidence and passion to learn a foreign language
and continue their life-
long learning beyond the classroom. |
